When Should a Newborn Session Take Place?

Newborn sessions are best taking place between 6 and 14 days after birth. Babies are typically sleepier and more poseable during this window, allowing us to capture those precious curled-up poses and gentle expressions.

Where Will the Session Take Place?

Sessions take place in my home-studio, in Cibolo, TX or at a hospital for Fresh 48 sessions. I have wraps, headbands, props, and everything needed to create a calm and beautiful environment.

What Happens During the Session?

A newborn session lasts up to 2–4 hours. This allows time for feeding, changing, and comforting without any rush. We’ll capture a mix of baby-only portraits, close-up details, parent and sibling shots, and natural moments. Baby’s safety and comfort come first throughout. Parents are encouraged to relax and let the photographer do the hard work aside from changing the baby.

How to Prepare

To help things go smoothly:

  • Keep baby awake for 30–60 minutes before the session, if possible

  • Feed baby right before the session

  • Dress baby in a loose onesie to avoid marks

  • Have extras (pacifiers, blankets, bottles) nearby
Don’t worry—I’ll guide you every step of the way.

What’s Included in the Session

Each session includes:

  • Professionally edited, high-resolution images

  • A private online gallery for download and sharing

  • Print and product options at discounted rates

  • Style and session guidance beforehand

The Experience Matters

As a mother and photographer, I understand how special this time is. I approach each newborn session with warmth, patience, and a focus on your baby’s well-being. The result? Honest, heartfelt portraits you’ll treasure forever.
